“Written in a state of complete despair, this song emotes both hopelessness and surrender, symptoms of an ever-progressing codependency and substance-abuse spiral. About a year after its conception, I began recording this track as a newly sober person, seeking compassion for a younger self that was surviving with what she knew. Recorded and produced in the basement with my partner, artist Nate Nakshian, the creation of this record represents a year-long journey of coming home to myself.”
