Ignorance To Enlightenment And Back Again by Mild Horses

From Mild Horses‘ new album Ignorance To Enlightenment And Back Again, “Suited” captivates with its textured rock pull. Heavy washes of dreamy guitars and a string-laden backing wandering intertwine, reminding of My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive. “You fix me up,” the vocals let out amidst a hypnotic bass line and and lush guitar swells. The track mesmerizes with a hazy rock enjoyment throughout, maintaining a consistent tonal warmness.

The project comes via Matthew Leuw, formerly involved with noise-pop act Crest, Brighton-based art-punk band Coin-op, and lo-fi electro-pop group 2 Hot 2 Sweat. With Mild Horses, Leuw incorporates some aesthetics from previous projects, all while offering something new entirely, evident on “Suited” and through Ignorance To Enlightenment And Back Again.
